UMak participates in first ever Joint International Conference for Public Administration

The Asian Association for Public Administration (AAPA), the Eastern Regional Organization for Public Administration (EROPA), Asian Group of Public Administration (AGPA) and the Indonesian Association for Public Administration (IAPA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Administrative Reform of Indonesia, National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA), and Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), organized the first-ever 2024 Joint International Conference, with the theme, “Towards World Class Bureaucracy”, held from November 5 to 7, 2024 at the Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
The Joint Conference provided an open and interactive platform for leaders to foster plans for sustainable development, specifically for developing countries in the context of national development. The event showcased seven (7) plenary sessions which emphasized valuable insights from public administration professionals of Australia, Bahrain, Belgium, Costa Rica, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, and Timor Leste.
University of Makati (UMak) delegates consisted of Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ederson DT. Tapia; Dean, College of Governance and Public Policy, Dr. Sonia F. Pimentel; Dean, College of Computing and Information Sciences, Dr. Joel Mangaba; Dean, College of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Prof. Maria Theresa G. Icalla; College of Continuing, Advanced and Professional Studies, Program Directors, Dr. Rhene C. Tabajen and Prof. Pompeyo C. Adamos II presented their papers in the parallel session amongst the other 250 presenters.
