UMEDFI, UMak Conducts Foundation Integrative Session
Following the Strategic Planning that occurred in January, the University of Makati Educational Development Foundation, Inc. (UMEDFI) in collaboration with University of Makati’s Institute of Arts and Design (IAD) held an Integrative Session to discuss key aspects related to the foundation’s rebranding initiatives last February 8, 2025 at the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs conference room.
Attendees of the meeting consisted of UMEDFI's esteemed leaders; President Dr. Dalisay G. Brawner, Vice President Mr. John Tiong, Treasurer Dr. Milagros Torres, Auditor Ms. Elaine Go with Dr. Joseph Lim, Dr. Oscar Torralba and Dr. Alex Brillantes, Jr. as the foundation’s board members. Other attendees of the session included Multimedia Program Director and UMEDFI Communications Program Head, Prof. Stanley Rovira and assigned student interns under IAD. Vice President of Academic Affairs and dean of the College of Continuing, Advanced and Professional Studies (CCAPS), Dr. Ederson D.T. Tapia sends his regards through a special video played for the board.

Key aspects tackled in the session include the presentation of the foundation’s vision and mission led by President Brawner, progress report of the communication platforms from Prof. Rovira, CCAPS course programs by Dr. Torres, and a discussion on “Corporate Social Responsibility” with guest speaker, Mr. Max Ventura, the ESG Consultant from AIA Philippines.
During his presentation, Prof. Rovira announced the communications team will aim for a simultaneous release of the foundation’s website, social media, and the first issue of the newsletter this March. Additional information included are the branding and logo concept, preview of vision and mission, proposed taglines, and the layout of the annual report.
The UMEDFI rebranding development supports their effort in adhering to changing times, establishing brand identity and awareness to gain traction from students with an interest to apply under CCAPS and foundation donors, along with a potential internship program for UMak students as the foundation aims to acquire accreditation status from the Philippine Council for NGO Certification (PCNC).
