CCAPS presents at KAPA International Summer Conference 2024
University of Makati participated in the 2024 Korean Public Administration Summer Conference and Annual Korean Association of Public Administration (KAPA) International Conference with the theme, “Navigating Change: Equity, Leadership, Community and Robust Governance” on June 19-21, at the Yeosu Expo Convention Center in Jeollanam-do, Busan, South Korea.
Two program directors from the College of Continuing, Advanced and Professional Studies (CCAPS) Dr. Rhene C. Tabajen and Dr. Sonia F. Pimentel presented their paper titled, “Advancing Innovative Approaches for Disability Inclusion in Local Governance: Contributions to the Promotion of Social Equity” which aimed to examine local government policies and their role in improving social equity of People with Disabilities (PWDs).
The conference attended by international guests from the United States, France, Europe, China, Japan, Indonesia, and the Philippines among other countries showcased the presentations of various research papers, policy analyses, case studies, and panel proposals to public administration professionals, researchers and policymakers in which they gained academic insights and fostered connections with other participants.
